Why didn't my computer reconnect?

There was an electricity cut here, it came back soon. The computer is in other room & I ssh to it from laptop. After the electricity was back, I tried sshin'g to my computer but it timed out everytime.

Long story short, the computer was not turned on! Not a big thing but I was surprised that I didn't think of this.
